Jeff and Donna Jones are coming to Columbus, IN with a burden to begin a New Testament Baptist Church. They both were reached for Christ through the bus ministry. Donna was picked up by the Glen Iris Baptist Church and Dr. Jack LeGrand was her pastor for many years in Birmingham, AL. Jeff was reached by the Dupont Baptist Church,while Dr. Dave Mitchell was the pastor in Dupont, IN. After visiting Glen Iris for about a year, Donna walked the aisle and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. Jeff put his faith in Christ at a summer camp in 1975. It was under a sycamore tree that a worker lead him to a saving knowledge of the Lord.                         

   While attending Tennessee Temple University Jeff answered the call to preach 30 years ago at the Highland Park Baptist Church, when Dr. Lee Roberson was his pastor. He has been the pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hanover, IN, and started two Independent Baptist Churches. (He spent 14 years on the staff at Hanover, the last 7 as the pastor.) Their first church plant was in North Vernon, IN (Harvest Baptist Church) and  the next was in the Auburn area of Alabama (Heritage Baptist Church).

   The Jones' have two sons, Jeremy and Brett. Jeremy finished his B. S. in Criminal Justice at Pensacola Christian College in 2010. He is currently a member at the Plantation Baptist Church and is a police officer for the Ft. Lauderdale Police Dept. Brett is a sophmore at Crown College and has a burden for world missions.                           

    Jeff and Donna now have a burden for the city of Columbus, and see a real opportunity to start a church that has a heart for the Lord and a strong desire not just to reach their community but the world.
